Liena Gubareva has been working in Zurich for 25 years as an athletics instructor of ice-skating, gymnastics, acrobatics, tennis and hockey. She has since started collaborating with private schools in order to introduce young children to the exciting world of gymnastics, sports, acrobatics and choreography. Challenging the children physically but also listening to their current interests, this club aims to give children active access to the world of gymnastics and will open the door to many sporting opportunities such as figure skating, tennis, ice hockey, sports gymnastics, athletics and more.

This after-school club introduces children to yoga through fun poses, movement, breathing exercises, and relaxation activities. Sessions help develop balance, flexibility, focus, confidence, and emotional well-being in a calm and supportive environment.
Every other month, children will enjoy a special sound bath experience, using gentle sounds and vibrations to encourage relaxation, mindfulness, and a sense of calm.

Who can join Tandem IMS After School Clubs?
After School Clubs are exclusively available to children currently enrolled at Tandem IMS. This ensures a familiar environment and smooth coordination with our daily school schedule.
How do I register my child for a club?
Registration is simple, contact Bethany Hill at eca@tandem-ims.ch . She’ll be happy to help you with available spaces, registration forms, and any other questions.
When do After School Clubs take place?
Clubs run throughout the school year, usually once per week in the afternoons. You can find specific days and age ranges listed under each club description.
Are clubs available at all Tandem IMS campuses?
Yes. Tandem IMS offers After School Clubs in Zürich, Zollikon, and Erlenbach, with some variations in available programmes depending on location.
What are the fees for the After School Clubs?
Fees vary depending on the activity, duration, and age group.
Who leads the clubs?
The clubs are facilitated by a range of external providers, such as the Swiss International School, Tech Labs, Ballet for Everyone, Playball, and others.
Can my child try a club before committing?
In most cases, yes. Trial sessions can often be arranged depending on availability.
What language are the clubs conducted in?
Most clubs are bilingual (English and German), but some ( such as language-specific or specialist clubs) may be held primarily in one language. Details are provided in each club description.
What happens if a session is cancelled?
If a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, parents will be notified in advance via email. If a child cannot be picked up at the usual time, alternative care arrangements may be offered.
